Abstract

This study was performed to compare the anticarious effects of different of different flouride agents(AIF3. NH4F, Na2PO3F, SnF2 TiF4) on white spot lesion, Enamel samples treated with 6 kinds of 1,000ppm fluoride solutions were evaluated for
fluoride
uptake and enamel solubility.
@ES The results were as follows;
@EN 1. At 10-40§ depth, the fluoride uptake on white spot lesion treated with TiF4, NH4F and SnF2 solutions were relatively higher than that of other fluoride solutions and that of Na2PO3F solutions.
2. In enamel solubility, the enamel specimen treated with NH4F solution was the lowest of all specimens and was followed by the specimens treated with TiF4, NaF, SnF2, Na2PO3F and AIF3 solution in that order. Enamel specimens treated with other
fluoride solutions were less soluble than the control group not treated with fluoride solution.
3. NH4F, TiF4 solutions were more effective on fluoride uptake, and acid resistance than the other fluoride agents. NH4F and TiF4 was recommended as the more effective fluoride agent.
